Pair of Large Ceramic Mid Century Lamps By Aldo Londi for Bitossi
A pair of large ceramic mid century lamps, due to there size they are most likely designed as floor lamps, but could also be used on furniture. Although there is no makers mark present we believe the lamps to be by Aldo Londi for Bitossi. They feature a repeat geometric design detail which has been impressed around each lamp, and finished with crushed granules in the clay which was a characteristic of Bitossi’s output.
Both lamps are in excellent condition with no visible chips or damage. The wiring and bulb holder on both is of modern standard and they have both been PAT tested. Please note that although these lamps are almost identical the design does slightly differ between the two. One has a larger brown top section and the abstract circular design is of different spacing. Please review the images.
Each lamp measures 53cm tall and 18cm diameter at the base. The cord length is 194cm including the plug.
